Moorestown Community House 2017 Board of Trustees

Haynes Hendrickson, President

Haynes serves as President of the Board of Trustees at the Moorestown Community House.  Professionally, Haynes works as a marketing and strategy consultant for professional sports teams, leagues and corporate sponsors.  Both Haynes and his wife, Dayna, are lifelong residents of Moorestown, and have two young children who help keep them active and involved in Moorestown’s community activities.

Glenn Henkel JD, LLM, CPA, Treasurer

Glenn is a tax and estate planning lawyer at Kulzer & DiPadova in Haddonfield, NJ, and has been active in the New Jersey trust and estate community for over 30 years. Mr. Henkel is a frequent lecturer and has written extensively on estate planning topics including New Jersey estate planning manual published by NJICLE. He is Past Chair of the Tax Section and Past Chair of the Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Section. Glenn lives in Moorestown with his wife, Molly, and two grown children.

Laurie Palko, Secretary

Laurie is the Secretary of the Moorestown Community House Board, on which she’s been a Trustee for 6 years. She is also the owner of Subbogies restaurant in Surf City, NJ. She holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from Drexel University and has spent the past 16 years as a stay-at-home mom and community/school volunteer. Prior to that she worked in the Environmental and Pharmaceutical industries as a Customer Service Director. She was raised in Lancaster, PA, but has lived in Moorestown for 13 years with her husband, 3 children, 2 dogs and 2 cats. She enjoys tennis, pilates, reading, watching ice hockey and relaxing at the shore.

Jeff Banasz

Jeff is a Senior Vice President with Marsh. Upon graduating from the United States Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science, he served for five years as an Artillery officer in the United States Marine Corps, rising to the rank of Captain.

 

 

Laura Cooper

Laura (Moretti) Cooper grew up in Delran and as a child learned how to swim at the Community House. She has lived in Moorestown since 1985 with husband Brian. She has three grown children that she enjoyed raising in a community such as ours. In 2005, Laura started the Moorestown 4th of July parade as well as the Halloween Parade. She has been on the Board of the Moorestown Historical Society and volunteers for Ghost Tours every year. She has assisted in many events in town and is very honored to be on the Board of The Community House.

Joseph DeLorenzo

Joe has been a member of our Board of Trustees since 2014. He has served on the Finance, Risk and Legal committee and most recently as the Chair of the Buildings and Grounds committee. He is a graduate of Villanova University and the Delaware Law School and a partner in the Law Firm  of DeLorenzo and Bradley, LLC, here in town. He and his wife Lauren are lifelong residents of Moorestown.  They have two grown children and enjoy spending family time at the Jersey shore.

Jonnene Dunne

Jonnene is a travel agent and partner at Enchanted Vacation Planning which specializes in Disney vacations and cruises. Prior to starting a family Jonnene spent nearly a decade working in the corporate travel industry, primarily in meeting and event planning. She has coordinated events both nationally and internationally for groups of 10-3,000 attendees. Jonnene also previously worked in advertising and holds a degree in communications from Rutgers University in New Brunswick. She has lived in Moorestown for over 17 years with her husband, Larry, and their three children. Jonnene is active with the Moorestown Home & School Association and is the Chair of Moorestown SpEAC (Special Education Advocacy Council).

Anne Greco

Anne is the Compliance Officer at the Community College of Philadelphia. She holds a Master of Science degree in Art Administration from Drexel University. Anne lives in Moorestown with her husband and two daughters where she has been a resident since 1983 when she arrived to be the caretaker of Perkins Center for the Arts. She is also a writer who recently published her first book, Serendipity, as well as a speaker who presents on topics such as mindful leadership and decluttering.

Michelle Groody

Michele Groody has been a resident of Moorestown since 1999. She is a Medical Technologist having graduated Drexel University’s school of Allied Health.
Michele has devoted her full-time energy since 2001 to raise her three children with her husband Bob. As her children moved through the Moorestown Schools and Sports programs, Michele has volunteered for Home and School Committee leadership positions, Family Services, Sunnybrook Swim Team and the Moorestown Crew program. In 2010, Michele joined the Board of The Community House and has been an active member of this Board and its fund-raising activities.
Michele and her husband Bob have been married for 32 years and have three children- Alexandra, Christian and Camille.

Cheryl Makopoulos

Cheryl is Director, Insights Marketing and Business Development at Health Union where she combines 20 years of marketing, advertising and analytics experience with a passion for turning information into insights that helps fuel relevant and effective strategies for the healthcare industry to engage patients.  Cheryl and her husband live in Moorestown with their two sons and beloved family dog, Boomer.

Will S. Merriken, Jr.

Will is President and Owner of Merriken Financial Group, a multi-faceted independent financial advisory firm specializing in quarterbacking strategic plans for business owners, families, executives and professionals offering insurance protection and asset accumulation products. He is a Chartered Financial Consultant and an Accredited Estate Planner. Will and his wife Louise have been Moorestown residents for 42 years.  They have 3 children and 8 grandchildren. Will is Trustee and Capital Campaign Co-Chair at the Moorestown Community House.  He is active in numerous civic and professional organizations and enjoys swimming, biking and Maryland’s Eastern Shore.

George Schulmann

George is president and owner Motorcar Colors (Moorestown and New Castle, DE). He has been a Moorestown Rotarian since 1995, and an active volunteer with many local organizations. He has served on the Board of the Community House since 2006 (president 2009-2016).  He and his wife, Michelle, are lifelong residents of Moorestown, and have two grown daughters.

Glenn Walton

Glen is a Partner with over 25 years of public accounting experience He is licensed to practice as a Certified Public Accountant in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. He is also a Public School Accountant and Certified Financial Planner. He has a B.S. in Business Administration from Saint Joseph’s University. Glen has extensive auditing experience with social service organizations, health care organizations, affordable housing agencies, and various other not-for-profit and governmental organizations. His auditing experience also includes employee benefit plans. He lives in Moorestown, New Jersey, with his wife and two children.
