MCH Pool Closing on August 31, 2017

The Moorestown Community House (MCH) will be closing its pool on August 31, 2017. The decision follows analysis of the MCH’s finances and is in consideration of the YMCA’s non-renewal of the current contract with the MCH to manage the pool. The pool will be closing indefinitely while the Board of Trustees and staff explore options for that space.

“We have enjoyed a positive working relationship with the YMCA and are grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with them. Prior patrons of our pool include the Tom Wilkinson Learn-to-Swim program, Moorestown Township, various swim clubs and schools, and many local families. We thank them for their support of the pool and the Community House over the years,” said MCH Executive Director Caryn Lynch. Original to the building and more than 90 years old, the pool has provided fond memories for thousands of local families through the years.

The Moorestown Community House is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit that relies solely on the generosity of local citizens and businesses to continue its mission to support local nonprofits and the community. It is unique in that it is not government owned or funded.
