Joan Brown
“I have enjoyed working and being involved in Community House activities since day one!”
Joan joined the staff of the Community House in October 1988. She is responsible for coordinating the logistics for weddings, receptions and special events.
During her time at Community House, she has been involved with the Moorestown Community Calendar, Nipper 2005, the Annual Wine Tasting fundraiser, and much more.
Joan grew up in Philadelphia, and moved to New Jersey after graduating from high school.
She is a graduate of Temple University where she received a degree in Art History with a minor in Music. She spent most of her life in the arts. She was always creative. Joan attended Moore College of Art while in high school — earning a spot in their prestigious Saturday Art program.
Her creative and artistic background influences her work today. Whether it’s a wedding or a meeting, she listens to her clients’ needs and skillfully guides them in choosing caterers, florists, DJ’s, photographers and lighting specialists. Attention to detail and presentation are two things she finds to be most important when planning a special event.
Joan is happily married, has two beautiful daughters, two awesome son-in-laws, and two amazing grandchildren, which take up most of her free time. When she’s not with her grandchildren, or at work, you can find her at a local gym or relaxing on the beach in Margate with her husband.
