On Monday, December 7 at 5:30 PM, the holiday season officially begins in Moorestown as our friends and family gather for the 3rd Annual Tree Lighting Celebration.

Join us, along with Fox 29 and Moorestown’s own Kathy Orr, on the front lawn of the Community House to continue this memorable tradition celebrating the most wonderful time of the year.

The Town Crier will kick off the festivities at 5:30 sharp.  The evening will include:

  • A children’s story by Timothy R. Hollybottom, Elf extraordinaire
  • Musical entertainment by the Philly POPS and the Moorestown High School Madrigals
  • Collection of new or gently used children’s coats and boots by MooreKids and new toys by Live Civilly
  • Hot chocolate donated by Brandywine Senior Living
  • Cookies and water contributed by Wegmans
  • Candy canes passed around by Community House Board Members and Staff

The event will culminate at approximately 6:15 with the lighting of our 20’ Norway Spruce, generously donated by the Palko Family.  The stunning lights were graciously provided by Moorestown Hardware.  The labor to hang the lights is a donation from Hyperion Tree Service.

MoorArts and Upstage Right also deserve many thanks for ensuring that the beautiful music can be heard by all.

Following the lighting, we’ll also be treated to a drive by visit from Santa on the fire truck!

Don’t miss this fun family holiday event!
